In addition to being a licensed insurance agent for First American Transportation Title Insurance Company, Erin Van Laanen is an attorney whose practice concentrates on aircraft title, registration, financing and leasing law and related matters concerning the United States Federal Aviation Act and the FAA Aircraft Registry in Oklahoma City. In 2004, Erin was selected as one of only 334 attorneys worldwide for inclusion in Legal Media Group's 2004 Guide to the World's Leading Aviation Lawyers.
Erin graduated, magna cum laude, with a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1988. She went on to graduate with highest honors from the University of Oklahoma School of Law in 1991.
Erin is a member of the National Business Aircraft Association, as well as the American Bar Association Forum on Air and Space Law and the Aircraft Financing Subcommittee. She is also a regular speaker at the FAA Aircraft Registration, Liens and Security Interests Conference held in New York City each year.
